SEAI Grant in Ireland for Energy Efficient Windows & Doors
(From 27th January 2026)
The Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI) has confirmed a new grant scheme designed to support homeowners upgrading to high-efficiency windows and doors.
Under the 2026 scheme, homeowners who ordered or commenced works from 27th January 2026 onwards may qualify – provided all grant conditions are met and a registered SEAI contractor completes the installation.
As an SEAI-registered installer, ThermoGlaze ensures all eligible products exceed the required U-value of ≤ 1.4 W/m²K, helping you meet both compliance and comfort standards.
How Much Is the Windows & Doors Grant in Ireland?
The amount available through the scheme depends on the type of property and the number of doors being replaced.
| Property Type | Windows Grant | Doors Grant (May Two Doors) Type |
|---|---|---|
| Apartment | Up to €1,500 | €800 per door |
| Mid-Terrace | Up to €1,800 | €800 per door |
| Semi-Detached / End-of-Terrace | Up to €3,000 | €800 per door |
| Detached | Up to €4,000 | €800 per door |
For a detached property replacing windows and two doors, the total grant support can reach up to €5,600.
Homeowners who do not qualify for the SEAI scheme can still upgrade their home with ThermoGlaze’s 35% discount on energy-efficient windows and doors, making energy improvements more accessible.
